Our Holiday!

Kason in the Drawer!

Avree in Her New Robe

So Much Stuff!

The Boys Watching Football

We had a great Christmas this year. We got to spend it mostly with Nick's family because my parents went to St. George. We had our party with my family on the 23rd we opened our drawing gifts and had pizza. It was fun and I got a beautiful handmade jewelry box from Kayla! Avree got a princess sleeping bag with pillow that she has slept in every night since. Then on Christmas Eve we went to Nick's parents house and had a huge party. We had the nativity, played the chimes and opened our drawing gifts! We had a great time and got lots of food storage from Nick's parents! We need it so bad! We slept over that night and were so excited for Santa to come. Our kids got so spoiled this year. Which you will notice in the pictures. We had so much fun with the kids. They are such fun ages and really enjoyed Christmas. Avree kept telling everyone "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays." She said she even heard Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve:) She is so funny. Kason loved all of his new toys and especially his new Rocket ride-on toy. He loves music and just pushes all of the buttons over and over. We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

ChRiStMaS!

We went to visit Santa at the mall the other night after my birthday party! Avree was very good and actually sat on his lap. I was amazed. She was a little stiff and didn't really want to talk much but she did tell him she wanted a doll. I think that is all that she could get out. Kason sat for a minute but quickly decided that he didn't like him! Oh well there's always next year.
Then last Wednesday was Avree's Christmas dance review. They did three dances 2 tap and one ballet and they were so cute! She is quite the entertainer and couldn't believe that everyone was there to watch her. So those are our Christmas adventures so far. Merry Christmas to everyone!!

The Nutcracker

Every year for as long as I can remember the girls always go to the Nutcracker right after Thanksgiving. My mom always buys the little girls a Christmas dress and we all dress up and get to go. I haven't been for a couple of years so it was so exciting to go with my little girl this year and carry on that tradition. So here are a few pics of the day. Avree loved it and sat through the whole thing. Like 2 1/2 hours! She was so excited that morning she woke up and said, "Happy Nutcracker day, Mom!"

A Great Thanksgiving and Black Friday!!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year! I think I won't be hungry again for at least another week! We ate dinner at my mom's this year and played games after dinner. Then went to Nick's parents for pie! It was a day full day of eating. But we had a great time visiting with family and goofing off. Thanks everyone for the great food it was wonderful! I even decided to make pies this year and they turned out pretty good! I was so proud of myself!
Then it was off for some great shopping. We started early and went to K-mart on thursday night. We got a few things and then went home to rest up for the next day! I picked Sasha up at 4:30 and we were off to Wal-Mart. When we got there it was CRAZY! I have been going for about 6 years now and I have never seen it so packed! There were so many people you couldn't even move. I felt like a cow in a cattle drive. MOO! At one time I was sandwiched between 2 carts with both people pushing on me. We got some great deals and I got everything I needed! We waited in line for about 45 minutes then headed to K-Mart. There was nothing there so we went to Kohls and got some great deals on toys and games. Then we went to Old Navy and finished up! Wow what a day. Sasha and I had so much fun. The most fun is making fun of the people who are so into it and rude! We don't care if we get anything but it is so fun to go and watch all of the crazy people! Thanks for going with me Sasha!

Husband Tag

A while ago Keesha tagged me and I haven't done it yet! So I thought since it was our 6th anniversary on Sunday it would be a good time to do this tag. And I have some cute pictures but they won't upload so I will try again later!

Where did you meet? I actually dated his friend Greg for a while and he said he had his eye on me the whole time we were dating! Ha ha. Then after Greg and I broke up, Nick was cruising main in his Jeep with some friends and we met up with them. Pretty funny!

How long did you date before you were married? Well let's see.... we dated for a year and a half before his mission. Then after he came back we dated for one week and then he asked me to marry him! So technically one year six months and one week.

How long have you been married? 6 years on Sunday

What does he do that surprises you? He is always doing things that surprise me. The other day while I was getting ready he cleaned my kitchen, living room, vacuumed the whole house, and rearranged the furniture in our bedroom! He is amazing. Also, a lot of times when I come home from work he has already made dinner!

What is your favorite feature of his? His eyes are awesome and he has a really cute butt! Ha ha.

What is your favorite quality of his? He is such a hard worker! He gets up every morning at 3 and goes to work. He works long days and then comes home and picks up the kids and plays with them for a couple of hours before I come home. Most nights they are already fed, bathed and in their pajamas before I even get home! It is so nice. He is a great dad too. The kids are always so excited to see him. And of course he has a great sense of humor. He is always making us all laugh.

Does he have a nickname for you? He has called me mama ever since we had Avree.

What is his favorite color? Probably Black or Red. I am not really sure.

What is his favorite food? Probably Turkey Steak

What is his favorite sport? Basketball, but he likes to watch all kinds of sports on TV.

When and where was your first kiss? Summer of '99 in my parents driveway. I even remember what I was wearing. Ha ha!

Favorite thing to do as a couple? Probably go to dinner and the movie. Or boating.

Do you have any children? 2 Avree is 3, and Kason is 1

Does he have a hidden talent? He can fix just about anything. He gets this from his dad who can fix ANYTHING!

How old is he? 27

Who said I love you first? He did, and of course I said it back!!

What is his favorite type of music? He likes everything but his favorite is Rap/Hip Hop.

What do you admire most about him? His testimony is so strong and he is so smart. I can ask him questions about all kinds of things and he knows the answers! Also, his sophomore year of High School he was hanging out with friends that he had forever. They started to do things that he knew were not right and so he just stopped hanging out with them. He said that he didn't really have friends for a while but eventually his best friend now, Nick, asked him to hang out with them and they have been really close ever since. I really admire him for that. I know that I couldn't have left my friends in High School. He is a person who always stands up for what he knows is right.

Do you think he will read this? Probably not, but maybe if he knows it is about him then he will!

Halloween!! Fall Fun!

We have been BUSY! Last Saturday was the Homecoming parade for USU and Avree was in the parade for dance. Then after the parade we went to the Pumpkin Walk. The kids loved the pumpkin displays. Also we went to Grandma G's to rake leaves, we had so much fun jumping in the piles. Grandma G told Avree all of the types of leaves and Avree kept saying " Mom did you know this is Maple leaf?" She was so cute!

Wow! We had a great Halloween this year! I am still laughing at all of the funny costumes! We celebrated with my fam during the day and then Nick's mom had an awesome party at her house on Halloween night. We had so much fun. We went trick-or-treating, bobbed for apples, hit a pinata, and just laughed at each other and visited. It was the most fun we have had on Halloween in a long time. Here are the hilarious pics from the night.

Look Who's 1!!

Our sweet baby boy turned 1 on Saturday! I can't believe it. He has grown up so fast. He has been such a joy to have around always. He is so sweet.

Here are the things I love about Kason:

  • He loves to eat!! Anything pretty much and he enjoys his food soooo much!

  • He has such cute chubby legs, hands, feet, cheeks etc. etc.

  • He is a morning person. He is always so happy in the morning.

  • He has such a sweet personality and is always giving me luvs and kisses.

  • He is a momma's boy most of the time.

  • He sings! It is the cutest thing ever.

  • He says ma ma, dad, truck (cuck), coke (I know not a good thing!), and he tries to say "Avree."

  • He has beautiful long eyelashes and blue eyes.

  • He is such a boy!!

We had two birthday parties when we got home from Disneyland. One with my family and one with Nick's family. So Happy Birthday little man. We love you so much and couldn't imagine life without you!

Hopefully Nick will let me put some shoes in his suitcase:) So I will post some pics when we get back. I am so excited I am sure I won't be able to sleep tonight!

6 Quirks!

Bethany tagged me and you are supposed to write about 6 quirks you have! I admit I am a little OCD about things so I have lots! Just ask Nick. So here are my top 6!

1. I have to do my hair and makeup before leaving the house! Also my children must have their hair done and matching clothes before leaving the house! Sometimes this causes us to be late but we try to be on time. I rarely leave the house without these things done unless I am soooo sick!

2. I am a little name brand crazy! Not that I have to have name brand things but that you have to match them up! Here comes the OCD!! If Kason is wearing a Nike outfit he has to have Nike shoes! Etc. Etc. I know this sounds crazy but it really bothers me if they don't match!!

3. I like the dishwasher loaded a certain way and only certain things can go in the dishwasher! I like to wash some things by hand!

4. I like my car to be clean! This has kinda gone down hill since I had kids and live in my car but I like to wash my car and have it smelling nice. Nick is very picky about his cars so I get this one from him. This is pretty funny but when we were first married and didn't have kids we would go to the shop and clean our cars inside and out every Saturday! I mean fully detailed!! So now that we have kids our cars are not so clean and don't smell so nice sometimes but we try to keep them somewhat clean.

5. I hate when I am talking to someone and they answer their cell phone mid-conversation and try to have both conversations at the same time. I also don't like when people talk on their phones really loud in public places. This drives me crazy! Like I want to hear your whole conversation!!

6. Here is the librarian coming out in me!! I am picky about spelling. I have to have everything spelled right and if it's not I will figure it out until it's right. Also I like to have things alphabetized. I haven't gotten to some things in my house but it is so easier to find things when they are alphebetized!

Ahhhhh! So now you all know my weird quirky things! And yes, I admit I do have some OCD! But the first step is to admit that you have it, right!! ha ha. And so I tag Ashlee, Jalane, Keesha, Tiff, (this could be your first post! I will help you.) and Teresa. And anyone else who reads this and wants to do it!

Free Pictures!

Yesterday we were in Layton doing some shopping and the lady at Kiddie Kandids asked if she could take some pictures of my kids. Of course I said yes, and they gave me a free one for Kason's Birthday coming up! Pretty cool! Here are the results!

Small & Simple Things!

"By small and simple things are great things brought to pass." Alma 37:6
I was just reading my friend Julie's blog about the small and simple things we enjoy in life. It inspired me to write some of the things I enjoy.
VISITING TEACHERS- When I first moved into the ward Julie and Karen were my visiting teachers. They always made me feel so welcome at church and that they were my 'friends' and not just because they were assigned to visit me. Growing up on the south end of the valley I didn't know hardly anyone at church and I always knew that I could talk to them and know that they were there for me!
SMILING FACES- Every morning I get to listen for my kids to wake up. I always know that they are so excited that they will have big smiles on their faces when I come in the room to get them. Also I am always so excited for them to get up so that I can kiss their chubby cheeks. I guess you could say that I am a morning person for this reason.
LEARNING- I have been blessed with great family in my life! I have three sisters, three sister-in-laws, a great mom, and a wonderful mother-in-law. Who have all taught me so much. I love to just sit and chat with these ladies and learn from them. They always have great advice for me. From laundry tips to fashion advice to parenting ideas. These ladies know!! And I feel so blessed to be able to learn from them. Thanks to all of you, you know who you are!
MY ROCK- This would be my husband Nick. He is my rock. Whenever I mess up or have a bad day he is there to bail me out! He is so strong and smart. He keeps me grounded! Thanks Nick for sticking with me for all of these years, I love you.

So those are my simple things in life. Thanks Julie for your inspiration. I have been so stressed lately and it was nice to write about some positive things. Life in general just gets so crazy that it's nice to stop and 'smell the roses.'

1st Day of Dancing!!

All Ready for Class

Av & Hal They Were Soooo Excited!
Had to Throw One in Of Kason Patty Caking

Yesterday Avree had her first dance lesson. She was so excited. The minute she woke up she came running and said "Mom did you remember, it's dancing day!!" She loves to dance and she really enjoyed the watching the gymnasts during the olympics. Hallie and Avree both have a floor routine that they have been doing on the rug at my sister's house. It is so cute to watch them try to do the same moves as the gymnasts.

The Fair & Park City!

Well I haven't blogged in forever because it just seems like there is no time!! We have been soooo busy, but we have been having a lot of fun. We went to the fair a couple of weekends ago and had so much fun. Avree loved the rides and Kason and Nick loved the food. We go every year just to get one of the famous huge scones. I am sure they are not fattening at all :) They even put the honey-butter on with a paintbrush!! So we like fair time for the food and rides and this year we even got to go and see Haley show her pig! I have never been to that part of the fair so it was a new experience for me. (Some advice though.... don't wear heels to this part of the fair.) She did a great job and I was so proud of her. She is so tiny and she was showin' that pig who was boss!!

Then August 10th was Nick's birthday! We decided to go to Park City and stay over! We stayed at the Sundial Lodge and it was amazing! It was VERY nice and brand new! We got there Saturday afternoon and had some dinner with one of Nick's friends from work. We went to Baja Cantina one of our favorite places to eat in Park City. On Sunday we went to the Outlets and did some shopping. It was a great weekend we had a lot of fun. I gave Nick a new Wakeboard for his B-day so I will have to post some pictures of him on it! He does some pretty amazing tricks!!

Remember When.....

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Martina McBride Concert!!

On Friday my sisters, mom, and nieces all went to the Martina McBride concert at the USANA Ampitheatre!! It was soooo much fun!! She is such an amazing singer and I have always liked her but hearing her live just made me like her even more! Her voice is so pretty and clear and she can sing like no one I have ever heard. She sounds just like on her CD's and even better live! We got there early and were just outside the gate where all of the radio stations have their vans set up. We were looking for Stubbs the DJ for The Eagle and we found him and were just chatting with him. He asked us if we had seats and we didn't we just had lawn seats. So he gave us 8 seats up front!! We were so excited! We had a blast and I lost my voice from screaming and singing so much. Thanks to all the 'girls' that went I had so much fun and I love you guys so much!!

Family Reunion Fun!!

Last weekend we had the Labrum-Whyte family reunion!! It is something we do every other year with Nick's extended family. This year Nick's mom and dad were in charge and we stayed at Harbor Village at Bear Lake (one of our favorite places). We had a blast!! The first night we got there and had dinner behind the condo's. Then on Saturday we headed to the lake for the day. The kids got to play in the sand and we took our boat and rented another so that everyone could go out and ski/wakeboard/tube. We stayed the whole day at the lake and got to have some fun and relax. Then we went back to the condo's for dinner. After dinner Nick's cousin Jessica brought out all of her jewelry and we had a jewelry party in our condo! We stayed up way to late and chatted with all of the girls, and we got to buy some awesome jewelry!! On Sunday we had the 'testimony meeting' and everyone of course got a little emotional. Krista read some awesome stories and we all said goodbye! Avree especially had a good time because Jessica has twin girls that are 3 too! Reese and Riley are so cute and Avree asked "Mom, where are my twins?" every night when we went to bed. We had so much fun this year at the reunion it just reminds us how important our family is! Thanks so much Neil and Sherry for all of your hard work! You did an awesome job and we had so much fun. Here are some pictures I took while we were there.
