6 Quirks!

Bethany tagged me and you are supposed to write about 6 quirks you have! I admit I am a little OCD about things so I have lots! Just ask Nick. So here are my top 6!

1. I have to do my hair and makeup before leaving the house! Also my children must have their hair done and matching clothes before leaving the house! Sometimes this causes us to be late but we try to be on time. I rarely leave the house without these things done unless I am soooo sick!

2. I am a little name brand crazy! Not that I have to have name brand things but that you have to match them up! Here comes the OCD!! If Kason is wearing a Nike outfit he has to have Nike shoes! Etc. Etc. I know this sounds crazy but it really bothers me if they don't match!!

3. I like the dishwasher loaded a certain way and only certain things can go in the dishwasher! I like to wash some things by hand!

4. I like my car to be clean! This has kinda gone down hill since I had kids and live in my car but I like to wash my car and have it smelling nice. Nick is very picky about his cars so I get this one from him. This is pretty funny but when we were first married and didn't have kids we would go to the shop and clean our cars inside and out every Saturday! I mean fully detailed!! So now that we have kids our cars are not so clean and don't smell so nice sometimes but we try to keep them somewhat clean.

5. I hate when I am talking to someone and they answer their cell phone mid-conversation and try to have both conversations at the same time. I also don't like when people talk on their phones really loud in public places. This drives me crazy! Like I want to hear your whole conversation!!

6. Here is the librarian coming out in me!! I am picky about spelling. I have to have everything spelled right and if it's not I will figure it out until it's right. Also I like to have things alphabetized. I haven't gotten to some things in my house but it is so easier to find things when they are alphebetized!

Ahhhhh! So now you all know my weird quirky things! And yes, I admit I do have some OCD! But the first step is to admit that you have it, right!! ha ha. And so I tag Ashlee, Jalane, Keesha, Tiff, (this could be your first post! I will help you.) and Teresa. And anyone else who reads this and wants to do it!

Free Pictures!

Yesterday we were in Layton doing some shopping and the lady at Kiddie Kandids asked if she could take some pictures of my kids. Of course I said yes, and they gave me a free one for Kason's Birthday coming up! Pretty cool! Here are the results!

Small & Simple Things!

"By small and simple things are great things brought to pass." Alma 37:6
I was just reading my friend Julie's blog about the small and simple things we enjoy in life. It inspired me to write some of the things I enjoy.
VISITING TEACHERS- When I first moved into the ward Julie and Karen were my visiting teachers. They always made me feel so welcome at church and that they were my 'friends' and not just because they were assigned to visit me. Growing up on the south end of the valley I didn't know hardly anyone at church and I always knew that I could talk to them and know that they were there for me!
SMILING FACES- Every morning I get to listen for my kids to wake up. I always know that they are so excited that they will have big smiles on their faces when I come in the room to get them. Also I am always so excited for them to get up so that I can kiss their chubby cheeks. I guess you could say that I am a morning person for this reason.
LEARNING- I have been blessed with great family in my life! I have three sisters, three sister-in-laws, a great mom, and a wonderful mother-in-law. Who have all taught me so much. I love to just sit and chat with these ladies and learn from them. They always have great advice for me. From laundry tips to fashion advice to parenting ideas. These ladies know!! And I feel so blessed to be able to learn from them. Thanks to all of you, you know who you are!
MY ROCK- This would be my husband Nick. He is my rock. Whenever I mess up or have a bad day he is there to bail me out! He is so strong and smart. He keeps me grounded! Thanks Nick for sticking with me for all of these years, I love you.

So those are my simple things in life. Thanks Julie for your inspiration. I have been so stressed lately and it was nice to write about some positive things. Life in general just gets so crazy that it's nice to stop and 'smell the roses.'

1st Day of Dancing!!

All Ready for Class

Av & Hal They Were Soooo Excited!
Had to Throw One in Of Kason Patty Caking

Yesterday Avree had her first dance lesson. She was so excited. The minute she woke up she came running and said "Mom did you remember, it's dancing day!!" She loves to dance and she really enjoyed the watching the gymnasts during the olympics. Hallie and Avree both have a floor routine that they have been doing on the rug at my sister's house. It is so cute to watch them try to do the same moves as the gymnasts.

Now that summer is winding down I finally got some good pictures of Nick wakeboarding! It is one of our favorite things to do lately. We have a lot of fun and the kids seem to really enjoy being on the boat. Last time we went they both fell asleep. It must be the rocking motion!!

The Fair & Park City!

Well I haven't blogged in forever because it just seems like there is no time!! We have been soooo busy, but we have been having a lot of fun. We went to the fair a couple of weekends ago and had so much fun. Avree loved the rides and Kason and Nick loved the food. We go every year just to get one of the famous huge scones. I am sure they are not fattening at all :) They even put the honey-butter on with a paintbrush!! So we like fair time for the food and rides and this year we even got to go and see Haley show her pig! I have never been to that part of the fair so it was a new experience for me. (Some advice though.... don't wear heels to this part of the fair.) She did a great job and I was so proud of her. She is so tiny and she was showin' that pig who was boss!!

Then August 10th was Nick's birthday! We decided to go to Park City and stay over! We stayed at the Sundial Lodge and it was amazing! It was VERY nice and brand new! We got there Saturday afternoon and had some dinner with one of Nick's friends from work. We went to Baja Cantina one of our favorite places to eat in Park City. On Sunday we went to the Outlets and did some shopping. It was a great weekend we had a lot of fun. I gave Nick a new Wakeboard for his B-day so I will have to post some pictures of him on it! He does some pretty amazing tricks!!

Remember When.....

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
