A Party for a Princess!!

Wow I am so behind on blogging. It just seems like summer is flying by! Avree turned four on the 26th and I can't believe my little girl is four. Time is going by faster and faster. She is such a sweet little girl and she is such a good helper. She loves to help Kason and they are the best of friends. We had a princess party complete with tiaras, dress up stuff, fingernail painting, etc. All kinds of girly stuff! She loved every minute of it. So here are the pics from her party! We had 12 little girls at my house! They were all so cute and made Avree's birthday so special!!

Girls Weekend in Park City!!

We had so much fun over the weekend in Park City! It was Hannah's birthday on Friday and then Sherry's birthday on Sunday so we celebrated both. We had a beautiful condo at the Canyons thanks to Terrin and Lyndsay! We shopped at the Gateway on Friday and had lunch at the Training Table. It was Hannah's choice for her Birthday. Then we headed up to the condo to let the girls swim! On Saturday we shopped all day at the outlets and then went to dinner at Baja Cantina. One of our favorites! Nick and Neil and Kason drove up to have dinner with us. We sang to Sherry and Hannah and they got to wear the sombreros! They looked so cute. So of course my kids wanted to wear them. Kason didn't want to take it off. He loved it and he looked so cute!! Then on Saturday night we did pedicures and just hung out at the condo. On Sunday it was Sherry's Birthday so we went to downtown Park City and they were having a street festival. They had all kinds of jewelry and food and bands playing. It was fun to walk around and look at all of the cool things. After that we headed to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. They sang to Sherry and even got her up on the saddle. She was so fun and such a good sport! We had a blast all weekend laughing and joking. It is so fun just to hang out with all of the girls! Thanks for a great weekend. (You know who you are!) We love you and had so much fun celebrating your birthdays! I only have a couple of pics. I will add them later!!

We have had some busy weekends. A couple of weekends ago was the Smithfield City celebration. Health Days was fun. We went to the parade and got lots of candy then went to the little carnival after. They had lots of booths and some fun rides for the kids. Avree is my little thrill seeker and loves rides so she had to go on one. She loved every minute of it! She was squished between Haley & Hannah and all we could see was her cute little face. It was so cute!!
Then this last weekend was Avree's dance review for LaShars. She loves dance and says she misses it already. We went to the rehearsal for two hours and while we were gone Daddy & Kason went and got her some roses for after the review. I thought that was so sweet. What a nice daddy!! She was so cute dancing. It was a busy but fun weekend!

Have to Laugh or I will Cry!

So today was a little crazy. I work a little earlier on Tuesday's so that I can have Wednesday's off. So I was hurrying to get the kids ready and myself ready. I hadn't got much sleep and finally fell asleep about 6ish this morning so of course I slept in and was rushing all morning. So after getting the kids bathed and fed I headed off to get in the tub quickly while they were playing. I was relaxing in the tub and thought how wonderful it was just listening to them play. I finished my bath and got dressed and it got so quiet so I began rushing because we all know that when it gets quiet, it means trouble. I went out into the living room and everything was fine. But there was a scent that was so strong. I couldn't figure out what it was. So I asked Avree. She politely told me that she was sharing her chapstick with Kason and was so proud of herself. So as soon as I knew I looked at him and he was covered. Mango Melon chapstick was oozing out of his mouth! Yep! He had eaten the whole thing. Gross! He then proceeded to puke twice so I was scrubbing the carpet and trying to clean him up. So then after that I forgot to leave the carseat and had to go take it back to my mom who was in Logan.

Thats how the whole morning went! Just one thing after another. Have you ever had a morning like that? Where everything seems to go wrong! I can laugh about it now. At the time I wanted to cry. So are the joys of being a mom. I love my kids so much. I wouldn't trade them for the world and I am glad they keep me on my toes. I am also greatful that my Heavenly Father gave me a sense of humor so that I can look back at these times and laugh. I am sure he does the same thing with us. He is watching us all of the time and wondering why we do the things we do. I guess he knows that we will hopefully learn from it and someday be able to laugh about it.

So to all of you moms out there who have had a day like this! Just know that you are not the only one. We all have them!

18 Months Today!!

Wow how time flies! I can't believe my baby boy is 18 months already! Wow it has gone so fast. He is such a sweet little boy and I just can't get enough of him. He is starting to talk so much. It is so cute to hear him try and keep up with his sister when he talks. Here are some of the things he says:

He pretty much mimicks everything we say. It is so cute. He also sings alot in the car. I need to record it because it is so cute. He really likes the soundtrack to Mamma Mia! He is always giving us luvs and giggling! Two of my favortie things about him. He is always so excited when I get home from work he runs and gives me luvs and yells "mum, mum." What a sweet boy. He also is such a good sleeper. He sleeps for 12 hours at night! Crazy! We put him down about 8 and he sleeps til 8 in the morning! Awesome!! He didn't do this until about 8 months but he is a great sleeper now! We love him so much and he brings such a sweet spirit into our home. We love you Kaso!

EaStEr!

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We started off the weekend by going to Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center on Friday. It was so much fun. The whole day Kason called all of the animals a cow. It was so fun to see the kids reaction to the animals. They loved petting them and holding them. Avree loved the bunnies and wanted to take one home! Of course we didn't but I really thought about it. The kids went on a pony ride and we got some cotton candy. Then ended the day by going to see the Easter Bunny. It was such a fun day. The kids really loved the "farm." On Saturday we spent the day with my family and had a fun Easter Egg hunt at the park and played softball, kickball and had some relays. It was a really fun day. Then on Sunday the Easter Bunny came of course. Avree was so excited that the bunny brought toys and not just candy! They each got a set of golf clubs, a new outfit and some fun outside games. Then after church we went to Neil & Sherry's for an Easter Egg hunt, and dinner. After dinner we went to roll eggs at Old Main. It is such a fun tradition. It was a great weekend and the kids really liked being outside and being busy all weekend. They love being with cousins and playing. Here are some pics of our adventures!

Are We Crazy!!

Yes we are!! We came from St. George where it was 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, to 30 degrees and snow!! We just got back from St. Geogre trip #2 and had a blast! The weather was beautiful. We got to lay at the pool and just relax. We had some good games of lightning with my sisters and nieces and nephews. We got to eat at Texas Roadhouse which we love, and get in the hot tub at night. Our kids are little fish and would swim 24/7 if we would let them. So that's what we did most of the time. Our townhouse did have a little fishing pond right by it so that was fun. The guys enjoyed fishing in the mornings.
